2000 to 2002: Selena and Demi met when they were 7 years on the waiting list for an audition for Barney & Friends, Texas. Selena said they met when they were sweating in the heat. Coincidentally, both got the job! Demi and Selena played Gianna, Angela. Check out:
2007 to 2008: Lightning Strikes Twice! Selena wins the lead role in new Disney Channel show, "Wizards of Waverly Place" and Demi will be launched alongside the Jonas Brothers in the Disney movie about to be released, "Camp Rock"!
At this point, Selena and Demi are closer than ever. They perform an old dream of the two starring together the movie "Princess Protection Program" for the Disney Channel and also recorded the single "One And The Same".
Meanwhile, Demi and Miley Cyrus have become close. But Selena starts dating Miley's ex, Nick Jonas in the summer of 2008.
May 2009: After a whirlwind two years, the friendship of Demi and Selena seems to have cooled. Selena while filming "Ramona and Beezus," Demi was working on her new hit Disney series, "Sonny with a Chance" and the two actresses virtually stopped talking through Twitter.
January 2010: Paparazzi question as Demi Selena is going. She replies: "Ask Taylor", which means the new BFF of Selena, Taylor Swift. In the J-14, Selena and Demi talked about how they have changed and friendships evolved (read: finished).
March 2010: Demi started dating Joe Jonas, whom she liked for a while.Coincidentally, Joe had broken the heart of Taylor Swift in the previous year, which puts Selena in an awkward position. At this point, Selena and Nick Jonas have ended their relationship back and forth again.
November 2010: Demi has an emotional breakdown and physical and go into treatment.
March 2011: The ax was buried? During an interview, Selena says that Demi is doing well after treatment.
March 25, 2011: Selena, who is now dating Justin Bieber, and Demi left for dinner and then a picture of them together tweeted, leading everyone to believe that we are on track to repair their relationship once and for all!
We speak with a specialist in Los Angeles, psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman said that Demi, 18, may have turned his friendship with Selena, also 18, as part of their treatment.
A photograph published announcing that they have made peace comes as a result of treatment of Demi, the inspiration to make amends and Selena being in the clouds because of the love affair with the world's most popular idol teen, Justin Bieber, Dr. Lieberman said. "They are optimistic, both in states of mind such as forgiveness."
She added: "But it is likely that their careers and love life continue to have ups and downs, as well as their rivalries and relationships."
For now, we're happy that Selena and Demi are friends again. We'd hate to think that they would go without speaking after being around each other for over a decade! Selena and Demi are close as they should be? Vote here!
