After four years with the show, a movie, two Emmy's and millions of fans, "Wizards of Waverly Place" is coming to an end. The series tells the story of the Russo family, where Alex, Justin and Max are wizards, garnered lots of laughs and thrills for all the years that was displayed by the Disney Channel. As posted here, it was confirmed that the latest episodes of the series will not have a live audience as they always had. In a recent interview, Sel said it was she who asked not to be an audience:
"I asked the producer of the series, not to have live audience in recent episodes. It will be very difficult for me to say goodbye to all that, I'll probably get sick and do not want my fans to see me like this."
The series is ending, Selena says that the decision to put an end to "Wizards of Waverly Place", was not it:
"I would like to continue, but I feel it's time to leave and find other roles that challenge me as an actress. In the series, my older brother going to college, and my younger brother is going through puberty and in difficult times life a teenager already had enough adventures so I think the show does not necessarily need to go nowhere after that! "
