As you all know, Monte Carlo , the latest film from Selena Gomez, opened in U.S. theaters today (1).Some time ago, we posted an article comparing the film with "Lizzie McGuire - Popstar A Dream."
Now the haters, for once, decided to once again try to "attack" Selena and its projects, comparing the two films and making jokes about it on Twitter. As you can see in the capture below, the tag Lizzie McGuire came up to the trending topics (subjects most talked about Twitter):

When you click to view the status of the tag, you can even see the trailer of Monte Carlo in the sidebar on "top videos". One of the most tweets is a Belieber RTs, which reads:
EN.: I'm not gonna watch Monte Carlo, because I watched Already an older version of it. The Lizzie McGuire movie. PT.: I will not attend Monte Carlo, because I've watched the old version. The Lizzie McGuire movie.
We would again stress that Monte Carlo was based on a book that was published in 2001, while Lizzie McGuire debuted only two years later, in 2003. Obviously, there is no way to be a plagiarism of the other. The films have no connection, only to be similar. Check out trailers for a mashup of two films:
